    Relocating washer and dryer
Hello all, my washer and dryer is currently located on the top (3rd) floor of my home. I want to move it to the basement so that I can expande my bedroom and make it bigger. What are the compliations of relocating a washer and dryer?

Cunfuzed - First of all you will have to run the hot and cold water down to the basement to where you are going to set the washer and dryer up , and if your basement is not heated for winter weather you will have to take the right steps to keep the water lines and the water pump in the washer from freezing and busting. Next you will have to have 220 volt electric run to the dryer and 110 volt run for the washer, next comes the hardest part- you are going to have to have a drain for the washer:: ( don't get get discouraged ,it can be done, just get a plumber and a electrician, Itsreally hard to say without knowing the layout of the basement.;; I hope I have helped out in some way ,but it can be done;; Good luck and GOD BLESS ;; F.B.E.

In addition to what flying blue eagle said, you'll also need to vent the dryer to the outside for best drying...

Thank you all, I live in a towhnouse and the area I want to move it to is in a room next to the furnace and its right by the outside wall so venting shouldn't be an issue. I think the biggest concerns are the plumbing and voltage. I will see if I can get an estimate to see if it can be done
