    I have a electrical water heater you do not need to use a lighter it suppose to light by pushing a red button it want stay lit why?

    Are you sure it an electric water heater and not a gas water heater with a piezo electric igniter for the pilot? If that is the case then it sounds like your thermocouple failed.

    First off this is almost impossible to understand.

    Second, Mark is right, you have a gas water heater there. I suggest you post this in the plumbing forum.
