    Connecting 220v garage heater
    Good Day,

I have a 220v outlet in the garage (wires are red, black, white) the red and black are connected to the 30 amp breaker in the house. Now the heater has (red, black and copper), the copper I've grounded and I figure red goes to red and black to black but what about the white.

Why would you figure that? If you connect the red and black from the wall to the red of the unit you will get a pretty light show.

The red and black are your two hot lines. The bare is the ground.

Red and black from the unit to the red and black from the wall. Cap off the white.

How did you ground this unit?
