1994 Honda Civic DX won't start?
    Well,

Anoter civic questions. Ive read all the topics which gave me some good information.

All right I have a 1994 honda civic dx. Let me start by saying its been raining really hard here! Any way I came home yesterday parked the car, it was running fine other then a different problem it has which I don't think relates to this.

I got up today went out to start the car and I can't get it to start. I sprayed fluid and it rumbles very little and then it just cranks. Now I pulled the carpet up on the passenger side and I see the ECU!!

First thing I noticed was 2 blue electrical clips with green tape wraped around them. They were just dangling and nut pluged into any thing.. I thought well maybe that's a problem but then I noticed another wiring harness that goes down the front of the ECU but its coverd with a plastic shield. I couldn't find a light or any thing. At this point I haven't replaced any thing yet and wanted to read as much as possiable before doing so.

Any help would be great. Thanks again!!

I'd like to also add when I turn the key on I hear the normal beep beep but I also hearing a huming sound behind the beep beep that ends with I guess a click.

You likely ran into the Service Check Connector, which the previous owner taped.

    Well,

I ran some test and it seems like it could be the ICM/igniter

I pulled it and called around every one told me they can't test it?!

I want to be sure its bad before spending the 150 bucks for a new one.

    Thanks

Well is the ICM the same thing people call the igniter?

Case closed. Got the ICM tested and it failed all 5 of there test.

Thanks for all the information regarding this.

p.s the link above was very good. Some may disagree but it solved my problem in 1 day.

    Thanks again

Something still isn't right. After I got the ICM I also picked up the dizzy cap and rotor. The rotor basically broke so I had to pry and use froce to remove that gear that goes on the shaft. Once I got that off I put the new rotor and put every thing back together.

When I turn the car over now it starts to turn over and then it makes a noise like it is catching then its not.

I hope I didn't mess any thing up regarding the dizzy shaft.
