Even though I just started going through this process of the break I can still honestly say the messages on this board that have similar topics of my own have helped so much in just reading them. Inconfused's situation was amazing, it lasted for about 2 months. I feel horrible for the dude but I would have done the same thing if I hadn't read it.

I'm trying really hard to keep the NC thing going and I'm trying really hard to get new hobbies and get the past not to effect my future. I'll be using this site probably for the next few months until I finally get the idea out of my head of "me and her."

So as a thank you to all you posters from me and everyone else that has been helped and those who pass by this site just to read and not to write. Thank you so much.

Break ups are hard, very hard. You have just started this journey, you are at the hardest part, the uphill climb with many bumps in the road. It will get better, before you know it.

The people on this site are great, and whenever you reach a bump in the road that you don't think you can handle, write about it here, I guarantee that many people will come to help you through it.

Yeah I read yours, sucks. Mine took just 1 week to have her ex boyfriend helping her when it should me be. Ridiculous eh? Anyway from about noon - now I haven't really thought about her much in a positive way. I met this christian chick who is goofily retarded just like me and she was willing to talk to me for about 2 hours. It was pretty awesome. To bad she's looking for a christian guy because I'd jump at the chance for someone like that :).

I just recently read a book that I would recommend reading - it's easy reading and I noticed that one can identify with many views expressed. I usually don't recommend books, but this one is worth a look. Try reading '' Men are from Mars, and Women are from Venus'', I think you'll like it.

As for liking that young lady, hey you can consider her a good friend to talk with, and still might find the right one once you have healed. The healing time is for reflection, non-committed communication, and learning to get to know yourself and enjoying life again, so go on and do it.

Don't purposely look for someone to take your ex's place or something permanent right now - it's not a good time. Just relax and enjoy what life has to offer without the stress.

There should be 'get well soon' cards for broken relationships - someone would make a lot of money with that market, since we all go through it more than once in our lives. I promise, you too will survive this.
