    error 18 wheels of steel prism3d .
    I buyd the game : 18 wheels of steel pedal to the metal
    and I install
    then I press play , and it errors
    he says this :" we are sorry , but the operation system failed to provide the window to render the graphics in. Please consult the game manual for known wokarounds that might improve the game's compatibility whit your hardware."
    then I press OK
    and then another error : "microsoft visual c++ runtime library."
    says :" runtime error! program : c:\program files\18 wos pedal to the metal\prism3d.exe
    this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
    please contact the application's support team for more information."
    OK...
    these are needed for the game :

    minimum system requirements:

    windows 98/me/2000/xp
    pentium III 800mhz or 100% compatible processor
    256 mb ram
    32mb 3D video accelerator with DirectX 8.1 compliant video drivers
    directX 8.1 compatible sound card
    500mb hard disk space
    4X cd-rom drive
    mouse

    these are mine :microsoft windows xp professional (5.1, build 2600)
    phoenix - awardbios v6.00pg
    intel(r) core(tm)2 cpu 6420 @ 2.13GHz (2cpu's)
    2048 mb ram
    565mb used , 3374mb left
    directX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) :eek::eek::confused:

    so I really hope you can help me!!

    There are a lot of mentions of display problems with this game series, especially with error messages including a fault of the Prism3D engine.

    The suggestion I find most often is to update your drivers from the video or mother board website.
