    Can I be evicted?
My parents bought a house for me to purchase 20 years ago. I have since been living in this house and paying towards buying it. My dad has given my sister power of attorney now she wants to evict me and sell the house. There is no lease agreement nor rent agreement can I still be evicted? What rights do I have?

    Hello sajam:

If you have NOTHING in writing, you're a tenant and can be evicted.

Ok, first a power of attorney can only sign for the other person. So go back to your dad and ask him to sign you a lease purchase or a contract for deed.

She can not do anything if your dad says no.
