Well just going on that information I'm going to guess that you are the father wanting your child to have your last name? If that is the case then you go to court to petition for a DNA test. The judge will order the test and once the results come back he/she will order your name be added to the birth certificate. You will also be ordered to pay support and you can also request visitation that will also be ordered.

What is your question? Are you asking about support, visitation?

If the child doesn't have your last name and you are not on the birth certification or any other acknowelddement of paternity, then you are not the legal father and have no rights OR responsibilities for the child.

Is that what you wanted to know? If not, please explain further.
