    prediction products to equations
    I am really struggling with knowing how to set up a product when given the equation. I understand all the rules for the reactions, but once I get it written out, I don't know how to check my work. Chemistry is a real struggle for me and I need some advise for a website or something to check my work once I have done it.

    For example:
    a double replacement reaction:

    I was given the equation of:
    H2SO4 + NH4OH -->

    then my yield/product (as I predict it) would be:
    H2SO4 + NH4OH --> H2OH + NH4SO4

    I know how to write the product, but I am not sure if I am doing things correctly once it is written... it seems like none of my equations need to be balanced after I write them. Does anyone know where I can check my work? Help!:confused:

    I dodn't know of any, but I found the mistake in your products. NH4 has a valency of 1, so, what should it be? NH4SO4? nope, that's not the right formula.

    I'm sure that you'll find it now. Post back in either case, giving the right equation this time.
