I've seen it anywhere from about 1-5% depending on how it was done. It is usually considered permanent, and for the vast majority it will be, but every so often a surprise occurs.

Its very rare to get pregnet after you have had one done, BUt it can happen, I became pregnet after I had one done after my son was born, imagine my surprise to find I was pregnet again, but my case was kind of strange when they performing the ligation they found my intestines wraped around so part of my tube and they cut it on accident and it bacame this big ordeal, Iam sure my failure was do to my problems in surgery, Ive never heard oof anyone out side of myself getting pregnet id feel pretty confident if I were you.

    Best of luck

    Worried Auntie

I had my tubes tied almost five years ago. No more babies since then. Of course I also had a lessor chance of getting pregnant to begin with. Previous tubal pregnancy, endometriosis etc, etc.

No one that I know personally has gotten pregnant after having their tubes tied.

    Good luck.

Hi I am living proof that pregnancy can occur! I had a tubal ligation 9 years ago and found out I was pregnant about a week ago. Unfortuately it was a tubal pregnancy but now maybe I'll have another baby.
