Wayne oil burner air in system
I have a wayne oil burner in my barn it worked great last year I replaced the electrodes and transformer the end of last winter. Now this year it woudnt light right away so I though it might be low on oil so I filled the small tank I use up and bled the system using the bleeder so air came out then when I closed the bleeder it lit instally. I thought I was done till it tries to start again and it does the same thing again. It will keep running till it shuts off then it won't relite again till I crack the bleeder and let the air out of the pump I have checked and replaced the line and filter I just don't know where the air is coming form does the pump need to be replaced? Any help would be greatly appericated.. Dan

The pump shaft seal could be bad but any joint or other connection could allow air into the system.
