    Finding the value of numbers
    I know the answers to these, I'm just know sure how to work them out any of them completely. Can you please teach me how to work them out in the easiest way?

    Find the value for x

    1) 5x - (2x - 10) = 35 answer is 25/3

    2) 3x + 5 = 2 x + 13 answer is 8

    3) 13x +14 = 12x - 5 answer is -19

    4) 5x - (2x + 2) = x + (3x - 5) answer is 3

    Set one side of the equation = to 0.
    Get rid of the ( ) b y multiplying
    Combine like terms then sovle for O.

    Example: 5X-1(2X+2)=X+1(3X-5)
    5X-2X-2=X+3X-5
    3X-2=4X-5
    3X-3X-2+5=4X-3X-5+5
    3=x

    First you need to take a positve 3 times the part inside the ( ). So 3 * 2x minus 3 * 9.

    Now your equation looks like this:
    5x + 6x - 27= 17

    Next combine your x terms and add both sides by 27, then solve for x.

    So:
    5x + 6x - 27= 17
    5x + 6x - 27 + 27 = 17 +27
    11x = 44
    11x/11 = 44/11
    x = 4
