I miss my friends... Ive moved around so many times its been hard to make new buddies. I've started uni and I work at a special school and have a family... but for some reason it seems harder to make close friends atm. Is it cause Im older now? Im 43yrs but more like 30. So anyone know the best way to make some friends- people to go to the beach with, go out to dance, come over for a barbque, that sort of stuff..

What sort of skills and interests do you presently have in addition to those you have already mentioned above, please? I'm involved with a few groups and have gained a number of new friends because of my involvement in those groups.

Since one of the things I'm really into is doing activities that involve music, it hasn't been hard to find the groups. Do you sing or play a musical instrument?

Since you would fall into the category of older student at the University, I would imagine that it would be hard to find people around your age with whom you might be able to develop close friendships.

Around where I live, there are a number of places that hold open dances where anyone can come and dance. Perhaps there might be those kinds of places around where you are located?

Do you like to go to church?
