    Can a person with a felony DUI in his past (10 years) own a shotgun for partidge hunting in Minnesota after gettig the felony in California?

    No. As a hunter no. As a spectator yes, so long as you do not carry or fire the gun.

    They may not own a gun, or carry a gun. They can try and file in the court to have their rights restored ** check your state law.

    As a gun store owner, I can tell you that NO a felon cannot own a gun. Period. For any kind of hunting, aside from blackpowder (antique firearms/muzzleloaders), but you really can't use those kind of firearms for partridge hunting.

    Have you looked to have your record expunged?
