I like this one guy at my school. I'm generally pretty shy around cute guys and I tend to blush around an attractive guy. Around my normal guy friends, I'm fine... but not around him. We never really talk, but he's in about 5 of my classes, so I see him a lot. He's cute and popular, and I'm pretty shy. He looks at me but whenever he does I look down, I just can never get up the nerve to look back. I blush if I screw up around him and he probably doesn't notice, but I tend to always think he does. Any suggestions about how to get to know him or being more comfortable around him or things that might show he likes me? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

You can get to know him by just starting a simple conversation with him about a homework assignment that you both are working on. You have a great advantage as you seem him quite often which gives a lot of friendly conversation starters. It's natural to feel shy and nervous around someone you are interested in, everybody is, even at adult ages. You always want everything to come out sweet and charming. Take it from me, it's just not in the cards, you're going to screw up sometimes, he will laugh as well as other people but how you react to it will determine how he takes it. Just roll with everything.

Just be friends, and it may be rough at first, you will get comfortable.

Hi jourdan 3001, I know how you feel about this guy, I was in the same phase yesterday, I went everyday seeing this beautiful girl, I could never talk to this girl I was so nervous, but I could talk to anyone else, I even talked to girls I never knew just to see if I could build up confidence but I still couldn't do it, she and I knew I wanted to talk to her but it weeks wents by and I got some advice from a friend, I learned that time isn't going to make me younger so I breathed 4 times and convinced myself that it was time, after I asked her name I got it then I choked and left, so much for 1st impressions, but I went back yesterday morning apologized for my nervousness, she laughed about it, and said she was the same way and nervous to, so everyone is different just do it even if you got to aggrevate yourself into doing it.
