GE dryer quits after an hour of drying
    I have a GE electric dryer Model # DBLR333ET0WW
The dryer will run for about an hour then shut off like you turned the power off. It makes a squeeking noise every now and then but stops.
When it shuts off it has a slight burnt smell that I would associate with a motor burning.
If you let it sit for about an hour it will restart, but it makes a little grinding noise when you restart it.
I don't know if the motor is going bad or if it's a bearing that's causing the motor to get hot then shut down.

Docsdad1999 - You've got two things to check , It could very well be the motor that is getting hot from use and shutting down until it cools back down again, also you have a high temop sensior that is on the heating element that will do the same thing . It will more then likely be one of these two. You can check both of these with a multimeater , Couinty check :: have a good day and GOD BLESS :: F.B.E.
