    Property values threatened
Hi, The neighborhood club was happy to see a coffee house seek a permit to open up across the street from my house. They promise rock music entertainment. No one consulted me about this. I want to know if I have a right to seek damages, should a decrease in the value of my property occur as a result of this action. Parking is also a super problem, since it is a University area. I expect to be forced to make a driveway out of a large portion of my lawn. The cost would be about $4000. Can I sue for that cost, as well? Mad:

If the property was already zoned for this type of business, then no, no one had to ask you anything,

If there was rezoning required, it would have been posted on a sign, along with notice in the newspaper of a zoning hearing.

No you can not sue for this business going in, If you can prove they are not up to code, or if they are their against proper zoning laws you can bring that up

Next why would you have to put a drive way in, unless you needed it for your own home. If it is for the business, they would have to buy it, and/or the city would have to take it to use it for their purpose

I see no case what so ever,

Thank you. I suspected as much.
I HAVE to install a personal driveway on MY lawn because , with the expected flood of student customers to this coffee house / entertainment spot, because on most nights it will be near impossible to find a parking spot anywhere near my residence.
