    Media state.media disconnected
I have two laptops and one currentlyis able to reach internet; the second does not. It states that the WLAN is disabled. Can't figure out how to enable. Working on a HP pavilion dv4000 with Windows XP. A couple of days ago when logging on it had an issue and I believe I put it on safe mode; not sure but I got it to log on. Don't know how to check or change that and wondering if that could be problem... help.

Media state media disconnected is just informing you that the computer is not connected wired or wireless to any network, try to go to safe mode if you want then do a system restore on the time that everything was working...

Very strange! I get the same message ( media state... media disconnected) when I do Ipconfig /renew from a cmd window. But I don't have any problems at all. My internet runs great and fast. I have sbcglobal DSL from AT&T wireless N and wired. Wow really strange you have these problems. Go to My network and delete all of your network conections, restart your computer and go to my networks and add a network connection.
