    Basement Floor Drain Clogged
I was doing laundry today and noticed that my floor drain is draining VERY slowly; in fact, it was full of water and suds when I went to change over loads. It eventually drained and my husband tryed to remove the cover to the floor drain without success. At this point, it doesn't seem to drain at all. We have a "slop" sink and a humidifier also draining into this drain. Please help me - I have a huge stack of laundry.

Also, I don't know if this is related or not, but we have a basement toilet that seems to have a very low water level. This toilet is on the other side of the wall from my washer.

    THANK YOU!

When the washer discharges does the water level in the bowl go down or bounce up and down? If so you have a clogged vent that should be snaked.
It also sounds like you have a partial blockage downstream from the floor drain. Run a snake down the washer stand pipe or the washer roof vent. If you come down from the roof put out enough cable to reach the base and 20n feet more to clear the main. Good luck, tom
