    Lifting black streaks
About 6 months ago I dyed my hair and put in black and blonde streaks, then three months ago I wanted to colours out so I dyed it a rich chocolate brown, but the black didn't come out, and I was wondering is there anyway that I could lift the colours from my hair without having to bleach my whole head blonde and waiting a couple months, cause I just want my hair to be one solid colour, or would my best bet be to leave the black and just ignore it? Or is there a way I can go to the salon and have them tak the black out and dye my hair a dark brown in just one day?

I dyed my hair black for almost 5 years and when I decided to go back to my natural shade, I bought a store strip kit. Biggest mistake ever! My hair ended up bleached in some spotts and still black all over! I spent over four hours at a hair place trying to fix my hair and the guy said simply, black does not come out and it's always best just to let it grow out but if you insist it must come out- go to a professional! The strip kit fried my hair and he said I was lucky my hair was so healthy to begin because it can just fall out when you fry it like I did. Good luck!

I had black hair about 7 years ago... wow... I had it stripped and dyed it a chocolate brown but it went green (this is professional too) so I gave up spending the $ and got boxes of brown from the store. It seemed to solve my problem for color but not the texture of my hair. Once the color went out it was five shades of I don't know what! Plus I have natural blond and red highlights so it didn't work... I had super long hair and it just felt dead and split ends happened no matter how many times I trimmed it. It was hopeless... I cut 11 inches off to my natural... I have short hair now (and absolutely hate it) but hey its healthy, feels great and above all natural... I don't have to fight the highlights. Good luck... I hope you get something figured out.

I went through the same thing you did... I used PALMOLIVE LIQUID DISH SOAP as a shampoo for about a week with GARNIER FRUCTISE EXTRA MOISTURE CONDISTIONER... I would wash my hair let the SOAP sit for FIVE MINUTES then rinse... put CONDITIONER in (alot! ) and let it sit for TEN MINUTES... I would rinse it out and then put GARNIER FRUCTISE SLEEK AND SHINE HAIR SERUM in and COMB out with a FINE TOOTH COMB so it was distributed EVENLY... DO NOT BLOW DRY... do this for a WEEK and your hair will go from BLACK to LIGHT medium BROWN... fading drastically...
