Favorite quote : "Sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand"

I buy his food products when the choice presents itself. I loved the whole concept behind the enterprise.

Looking forward to the Newman film festivals . My list of favorites is almost too long to mention.

    News Headlines - Paul Newman, Hollywood's anti-hero, dies at 83 : Townhall.com

    Quote:

Newman sometimes teamed with his wife and fellow Oscar winner, Joanne Woodward, with whom he had one of Hollywood's rare long-term marriages. "I have steak at home, why go out for hamburger?" Newman told Playboy magazine when asked if he was tempted to stray. They wed in 1958,.

In 1982, Newman and Hotchner started a company to market Newman's original oil-and-vinegar dressing. Newman's Own, which began as a joke, grew into a multimillion-dollar business selling popcorn, salad dressing, spaghetti sauce and other foods. All of the company's profits are donated to charities. The company had donated more than $250 million, according to its Web site.

He was a man of true integrity, true character. He stood opposed to the control of America by large corporations to the detriment of the average person.

Plus, he was the best looking man of his time, absolutely a Greek God! WOW

He said near his deathbed to h is daughter that he was so glad he was priviliged to have had his time on earth.

    Great man. :)

My dad and all his brothers had those same incredibly blue eyes. (We kids all take after our mother with brown ones)

PS> (edited) His father was Cleveland-born of German-Jewish ancestry who became a prosperous businessman as a partner in the Newman-Stern sporting goods store.

PPS> (edited) Ok, his mother wasn't, therefore technically he wasn't either.
