    Military death gratuity payment
My husband and I were married prior to him entering the military. I recently found out that he has his father listed on his records as the death gratuity and we have two children together. It worries me because he is scheduled to deploy in a few months. I jope god brings him back home but in the worst scenario, would I still receive the life insurace benefits? Even if he has his parent listed?

If one of his parents is listed as his beneficiary, then that parent would receive the benefs of the insurance policy. Not you. He needs to change the beneficiary to his spouse.

Yes the person listed on the policy as beneficiary gets the money, you need to have him change it
