My husband almost cheated on me about two years ago, Luckily I caught him because I wanted to surprise him for my lunch break. We have survived this incident and he has gone beyond to restore my trust in him as well as our relationship. We recently got married in May and I know he loves me. However the question arose about why he was even going to cheat, I asked him if it was how he was feeling in our relationship if I was treating him right you know to make sure I wasn't the cause, any who his answer was... I wanted something on the side... please help me understand this or if I should be preparing myself for a heartbreak down the road?:confused::mad:

Humans are not naturally monogamous, in my opinion. Biologically, we want to create new life. When we choose to marry, we vow to only have sexual relations with our spouse. Some are better at keeping those vows than others.

Be careful as second thoughts, fears, and insecurities, can sabotage sound rational, thinking.

Take his answer at face value, and pay attention, but don't push. His answer is typical male, but your married now, so look ahead. If you can't give him the benefit of a doubt after forgiving him and working through it, you really shouldn't have married him.

keep the lines of communication open always. You be his wife & from time to time bring some excitement into your intimate life, keep it fresh all the time. Give him what he wants ^ you get what you want. You both will be happy & won't stray
