There is a lady in the hotel where we live in rooms with shared bathrooms/shower down the hall. She has so much stuff piled outside her door, & down the hall, you can't get to the bathroom. I have pictures, & this is an understatement, & not an exaggeration. Our landlord has told her to get rid of it, but still 2 years later, the problem is worse. Since she moved in, we now have a roach, & mice problem. She has spoken threatenly to some other neighbors, & we've had enough. I have reported her to the fire department & environmental health dept. We tenants would also like to petition that she be evicted. Is there a certain petition or something we can file? Our landlord is a wonderful human being who does not like confrontation, & we want him to know we've had enough & for him to take action. Thank you.

Your landlord should issue an ultimatum: the tenant removes it by a certain date or the landlord removes it all to the bin. Your landlord is probably breaking the law allowing this to continue.

Where are you located? Do you have some sort of lease agreement, or can you just check in and check out as you wish?

Regardless... the thing that will get your landlord's attention is if all of the other tenants (guests?) leave! When it affects the landlord's bottom line, he'll get busy and do something about this! You can try threatening him that you will all vacate if he doesn't do X, Y, and Z by a certain date, but unless you actually plan on moving there's not much point.

There is no petition as such but you could write the landlord a letter, explaining about the problems, emphasizing the physical and health hazards, and have all the tenants sign it.

You would, of course, send it to the landlord.

Yes there is no petition that can force the landlord to do anything, You may depending on where you live, form a tennants association and as a group file a law suit, and/or put the rent money into a escrow account to force them to get into compliance with safety regulations.

Also of course in over 2 years why have you just not moved to somewhere better??
