    How to drywall basement
How do you drywall a basement ceiling with exposed pipes and wiring in the form of armored cable. Is it possible to do it as a type of drop ceiling? Is there a way to sheetrock part of the ceiling and do a drop ceiling where most of the plumbing and light fixtures are? Thanks, any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you have junction boxes, you can't cover, but can relocate, How about suspended ceiling, it will allow access to electrical, plumbing, TV, Sat, Phone, speakers and alarm in the future.

I would agree that a suspened ceiling is a good option. I just looked at a new system that uses drop down panels but is plastic tracking screwed directly to the rafters above.
