I don't know if my 8 month old daschund is pregnant or not I keep her inside but every time the door gets opened she is right outside... She is in heat and has been for some time now.. I am concerned on weather she is pregnant or not because her nipples have gotten really large like she is going to try to produce milk... Does this mean that she is pregnant? Not only that I am worried that she might not be able to have the puppies if she is pregnant because I have a male pit bull mix outside that she goes straight to and most all of the neighbor dogs are big dogs there are a few small dogs but I don't know that she has ever been near them... But every time I know that she has gotten out I go right after her because I don't want her pregnant not right now anyway... So can she get pregnant by a big dog? And if she can will it hurt her?

Your best bet is to visit a vet... wow try saying that ten times fast. Anyway, he will be able to tell you for sure. And yes she can get pregy by a big dog, it would be hard but possible. I would make an appointment with a vet and buy some doggy diapers.
