    HEaTape can it be splised on ground?
    Hi I leave in Aspen Colorado a gardedener cut the heat tape coming out of a downspount, can I splice the raychem heat tape on the ground where snow and water sit or do I have to run it up inside the pipes or all the way to the roof?:confused::)

    According to the company most of their cable can be field spliced. I would have thought not but I checked their site.
    You'll have to contact them to get the proper splice kit. You need to know what series cable you have.
    It is NOT a simple two wire splice!
