    Hunter ceiling fan, nothing works
We have a hunter ceiling fan in our home (that was put in by the previous owners), the only way to operate it is with the Huge universal remote that it came with, however recently it has been acting up, at first the high setting for the fan would not work, now nothing works, the light will not even turn on. We sent a message to Hunter and they state if the light on the remote is lighting up it is probably the receiver in the fan. My question to you is if I order something like the below and install will it make the fan work again. We would switch it out for a new one that actully has strings so we can turn it on that way, but it costs way too much for a decent fan and this one is still in Great shape. Your help is much

Hunter is PROBABLY correct however there is a CHANCE it could also be the remote. If the remote is universal it could also be programmed wrong. I would have Hunter send you the correct remote as well as the receiver. OR try the remote first, and if that doesn't fix it, replace the receiver.
