    Flashing Engine check light.
I have 2001 Hyundai Accent. In the morning my engnie check light was flashing. I turned the engine off for while, it went off. It never came back again for the day. I drove around 50 kms. Should I be worried to show to mechanic? Engine was making noise in the morning while light was flashing but after that no problems smooth as always.

    Thanks for your help guys.

A flashing check engine light means there is a potential that damage could occure to the catalytic converter.
If the engine was running poorly, why? You didn't have to do anything to make it better?
Something may be loose, thus causing the intermittent rough running. It may be too much moisture on the ignition system, but it could be much worse. Have this looked at soon. Next time may not clear up on it's own.

Definitely have a computer test done to see what codes are stored in the computer. If the light was flashing, it could be a misfire issue; have you ever/when was the last time you had the vehicle tuned up?
