    Felony Domestic Assault
My Husband has been charged with a Felony Domestic Assault, my question is since he has never been in trouble before, and I asked the courts to drop charges, could he get off with just a misdomener? By the way we live in Missouri

Why in the world would you do anything except testify against the person who assaulted you ?

I do hope you have ran as far away from him, not still with him, since there is almost a 99 percent chance of it happening again but worst.
Next they don't have to drop the charges or reduce them they may continue with the current charges if they want to.

Just because you asked that the charges be dropped, the State may decide to prosecute him anyway. Some states don't have the option of taking back the charges made in DV cases. The only one who determines if the state will go forward on the case is the prosecutor. Too many times the wife wants charges dropped for whatever reason and the state just plows ahead with the case anyway regardless.
