My birth father lives in California. He was never on my b.certificate, but supposedly my birth mom did pursue him for child support at one time. Anyway I am his only child. I would like to find out if I can have a court ordered dna test because someday he will medical needs and will need someone to care for him. His wife just passed away last year.
I also want to document his medical history. He has said in several emails that I am his daughter. Thanks V

You cannot "force" DNA testing on another adult - unfortunately. Occasionally in the event of a specific medical problem the Court will order testing.

If you ask him, very possibly he will consent.

If your mother pursued him for child support he might have been tested at that time.
