    Liability in death
If a husband commits suicide, and owes in debts of over $100,000, is the wife liable to pay these debts even if her name was not on any of the loans.

You posted twice - one of the posts should be removed.

Whether the wife is responsible depends on the State.

The other half of the answer is that his estate very well may be liable for the debts, which in most cases means money that she would have inherited, so in an around about way it comes out of her pocket.

The husbands estate, there may be a lot of property or money that they have that will go into the estate,

It is not a simple yes and no answer. A good probate attorney who is handling the estate will have to review it.
