I have applied for citizenship in2001 still waiting for fbi name check and every time I call ins the answer is fbi check is pending my question is is there anyway I can expedide this case

You have to think in their point of view.

Everyday, they have over 30 million applications internationally and previous applicants who are waiting as well.

I believe you are being pending list because the 9/11/2001 attacks increased the level of security alert.

If you submitted the application in 2001, it's likely that your application might be lost or misplaced.

If you have copies of notice of receipt, send copy of this document together with copy of your application to USCIS. If you've never received anything, and the check has not been cashed, cancel that check and start over.
