    7 Days Late- Neg HPT
    Hello,

I see that similar questions have been asked, but I wanted to check with some details. I went off BC in April and started "actively" Trying to conceive in July. My periods have been completely regular 28 days with the exception of the last cycle which was 33 days. About 8 days before this AF was expected I had slight spotting and then... no AF. I am now a week late but the HPTs still say negative. I went to my doctor this week for a regular check up and she didn't seem to think much of it, no urine or blood test. She said to just call when I get a positive. Should I be concerned? Should I keep testing? I was on BC for quite awhile, but I do not remember my cycles varying by more than a few days before that. Any information will be appreciated!

You could be pregnant. Wait a couple days and take another test.

7 days late really is not considered late in the women's health field. Periods can be wacky for a number of reasons, and sometimes no reason whatsoever. I agree with your doc to call when you get a positive.

Remember, when taking an HPT it is important to take it using first morning urine to get the most accurate result.

    Did you take another hpt?

If you took another hpt and it is negative, you can wait to take another test or period. Have you been stress lately because that can cause a delay.

Also, when you take a hpt take one with a low hcg(pregnancyhormone). Try first response or ept or a $1 test.

See what happens when your next period is due and test then if still no period. Periods can be off sometimes.
