When the sprinklers come on, there is a boom noise outside the house, from the water line outside the house. But every time I hear the boom noise one of my sprinklers break. I think I need a regulator of the water line. I am very handy but I don't know how to install the regulator, I don't even know which type to buy. Please help me.

Hi Maria,
What's the house PSI. If you don't know a good way to check it is with a hose bib pressure gage,(see image). It also sounds like you have air hammer. After you tell my your housed pressure we'll address your "boom". Regards. Tom
