    Healing Supplements after extraction
    Greetings,

I have just had all my teeth extracted and wanted to know what are the best vitamins and/or supplements to promote healing? Please be specific.

    Thanks in advance

To be honest by the time supplements will get into your body to have effect the healing will be over. Supplements should have been started a couple months prior to be in the system.

Follow the post op instructions carefully and everything should heal up fine (salt water rinses, no smoking, etc). Bone loss always follows tooth extractions, and is the main problem with fabricating a well fitting denture. Just eat a good diet, and take calcium as per your physicians orders if you are an older female. The oral cavity heals VERY fast.

No smoking cigarettes and NO drinking soda or diet soda of any kind until you are fully healed. The soda inhibits the healing just as much as smoking does.
