Our Golden retriever is almost a year old, and for the past month or so, she has been lying down and crying (whining) about half an hour after she eats. She has always been a pup who INHALES her food. We feed her dry puppy kibble, 1 cup, 3 x/day.

She cries softly for 5-10 min. or so, then it dissipates. She can be distracted from it, by playing, so it's not like she's in horrible pain, it's just... weird. She is otherwise a bright-eyed, playful lover of a dog. Well-behaved in every way.

Any ideas?

Take her to a Vet. I do not believe this is not normal. She may have intestinal issue maybe even tape worm. My dog swallows his food and never does that.

I'd bring her to the vet right away! She could have gastrointestinal problems, worms, intestinal problems... ECT. Good luck! Hope she gets better!
