    Call electrician or power company
Three phase A/C. Power down because of hurricane. A/C will blow but no cold air. A/C repairmen says I'm only getting two phases. Neighbor w/ power line from same pole has same problem. Any benefit to calling electrician, or is this a problem on the power company can fix?

Notify your power company, they may have a problem in your sub-station and not know it... Good luck...

Texmarkman is writing of a hurricane disaster area. Electrical distribution systems fail... his system could have lost a phase because of a downed line, open drop-out, bad air breaker or any number of other problems.

Leoacrh is incorrect. Two phase power does exist, but rarely. See: Two-phase electric power - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have a friend that either had or has it in his shop. For all practical purposes, your correct. Also, 3 phase power does exist in some homes. Again, this is rare.
