Have you carefully read the manual regarding using the remote to reverse, usually a very small button on the side.

Litex Industries Surfboard Ceiling Fan - Antique Nickel finish
    Model: SBF58AN5LKRCR2

I will look closer but when I was installing it I didn't notice any buttons. This is strictly controlled by remote.
Also, light dimms only at high speed, at medium or low speed can't control the light.

    Thanks, Raf

I don't think that new issue is bad connection of the power lines but more of a remote/receiver issue. Did you double checl the dip switches on both units to make sure they are all identical?

I agree it sounds like a receiver issue.

You still haven't told use where the reverse button is on your fan.
