Are you trying more than one test? When my husband and I found out we were pregnant it took three pregnancy test within two days for it to finally say pregnant. If all else fails you can go to your "lady doctor" and then you can find out for sure.

Some times women missed their period because they are under a lot of stress or depression.. also the most common cause are anemia and bulimia.. make sure that you don't have any of these...

    Good look...

I kind of had the same thing happen to me. I was late like 3 weeks and I took 3 tests the first two weeks and they came back negative, then about 2 weeks later I took another on (different brand) and it came back positive. I would try a different brand.

Are your periods irregular? This is often why the progesterone would be prescribed... to help when progesterone levels are too low and the lining of the uterus may not be sufficient to support a pregnancy.

Using the progesterone for several days, will usually result in a period once you stop taking it.
Have your progesterone levels been tested? That would be where the doctor should start to see if it is a possible cause in the first place.

The move to the US may be enough to put your cycles off at first. I'm surprised the doctor gave you Provera for your period being irregular for only two months.
Once you finish the medicine for the days he suggested, you should see a period after you stop taking them.
In your menstrual cycle, progesterone will rise to help with the lining of the uterus in preparation of a possible pregnancy... if a pregnancy does not occur, the level of progesterone drops and you have a period. If a pregnancy does occur, the progesterone stays up to help support the pregnancy early on.

How many days did you take the medication? How long has it been since you stopped taking it?

Usually you will be on it for about a week, and your period will start within about a week once you stop taking them (it can sometimes take a little bit longer). It doesn't always work on the first try, so they may check other reasons and try again, perhaps with other medication first.

    Hi,

    Appricate for your quick response.

I hv take medication for 10 days(PER day one tab.) Now three days passed to complete this medication course.

According to you, I'll wait for one week & then call again approach Dr. again.

Due to these reason I'm going to put weight?

Yes, give it at least a week... maybe even a few more days after that and call if no period.
I wouldn't think you would gain weight with just one week of taking the medication, but some women will gain weight on Provera, some don't. More likely if you are on it for a few cycles. It is very individual.
