Do whales have penises?
Yes they do... well.. the Male Whales do ;)
Yes, they're called DORKS. I'm sure you've heard this before.
HEY!
Hmmm...
So what are whale vagina's called?
San Diego! No, just kidding. I think it's just called a whale's vagina...
StaticFX, I looked it up. Apparently it's still called a vagina. ;)
Some interesting facts;
A whales erect penis can reach a length of 10 to 11 feet, and his testes may weigh up to a ton.
All I can say is, OUCH! ;)
Yes, but Blue whales would have a large one, up to 5 feet in length, 2-3 feet in depth, but a Sperm whale would certainly have a much larger vagina, as its name would suggest.
LMAO
A Blue whale can ejaculate up to 400 gallons, but only about 10% reach the female...
OK.. 40 gallons! Yikes!
There's a BBC series about mammals, The Life of Mammals, with David Attenborough that, in one episode, shows whales mating. The whales' penises are just enormous and also creepily prehensile--bending around and tapping at the female, "looking" for the entrance. She keeps turning herself upside down to evade these advances until the time when she's ready and has picked one male. A fascinating and slightly appalling scene. Practically gave me nightmares.
PS. All mammals have penises because all mammals do "internal fertilization," meaning the female's egg is fertilized while still inside her. In contrast, most fish have "external fertilization." The female lays her eggs and then the male drops sperm on top of them outside the body of the female. A penis helps get the sperm up inside the female, although lots of animals --birds, for example-- are able to accomplish internal fertilization without a penis.
... and then there is the platypus. Lol
True. The platypus and echidna are special "monotreme" mammals that lay eggs. I was referring to most mammals--"eutherians" such as mice, humans, elephants, tigers, etc. The platypus egg is fertilized internally--like a bird's egg is. I read that they have a four-headed penis. Oh, my. Hence your "lol"?
