    Arc Fault Circuit
    Hello,
Only when using my portable generator, the arc fault circuit (for Master Bedroom) keeps tripping.. Do I have to do anything extra??

    Details:
Coleman powermate 5kw Maxa ER Plus (pm0525312.17)
Using the L14-20 receptical with Floating Neutral
10/3 W/ground Bus Drop cable (35 ft) to EmerGen transfer switch (Conn elec. #60-5000) Cuttler Hammer Main.

Do I need to Ground the Gen? If so... To the existing Ground Rod?

Any issues running a computer on the Gen?.

    Thank you in advance

Arc faults are prone to tripping way more than a breaker. Where is this circuit installed, would a GCFI or ordinary breaker still be code for your application?

Yep, you need an arc fault for a bedroom. I will leave this for the electrians to answer later today. When using a generator connected to the panel you might need to alter the neutral and ground connection, just not sure. sorry.
