1994 Honda Accord intermittent start
I've read the posts on this site about the commonly reported intermittant starting issue. My car behaves the same; occasionally it will take between 1-8 attempts for the car to start. It always cranks fine so it's not a battery or starter issue. Well, reading about the main relay as the problem on other posts an the occasional reference to fuel pumps, I thought that I would confirm one thing before tearing into the dash. I put a timing light on my plug wire when it was acting up today and was able to determine that the issue is definitely lack of spark (instead of the other possibility, lack of gas). So, it's confirmed on my car; the intermittant no-start is being caused by lack of spark. Would the main relay still be the most likely culprit?
