Framing over new concrete on basement floor
I'm having an interior drainage system and sump pump installed under my basement floor, and they will be pouring new concrete today to replace what was removed (which was quite a lot).
I was planning to start framing as early as this weekend on a portion of the basement, since I took out all the plumbing for my laundry area as I am moving it to a new location in the basement... any my wife is already getting impatient.
The contractor said they recommend a 30-day cure on the concrete... but then said "our commercial customers sometimes work on it as early as the next day."
So what's the danger in putting in some framing over the uncured concrete well before the 30 days is up? I plan on using tapcons and pressure treated lumber for the base plates. I'd estimate that about 12 linear feet of the framing would be over this new concrete work.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
