I have 1 PC and 1 Mac (home environment) and currently using a wireless router for Internet access.

I need to have both computers access the same file (scheduling calendar) to insure no double booking for appointments.

How can I get these two machines to work as a network?

90% of the time the computers would be stationary in the home. It would be an advantage if they could access needed files when one of the computers is out in the field. The Internet access would be good but not necessary if it overly complicates the networking solution.

Your suggestions and ideas as to how we may accomplish our goal would be most appreciated.
