My kitten has been sleeping a lot for a week and just started coughing up blood. He can't stand up. What is wrong with him?:eek:

To my knowledge, we don't have any veterinarians on this site. Even if we did, it's very late at night right now for the people who usually frequent this site, so a lot of them are in bed now.

Out of concern for you and your kitten, the best thing that you can do right now is to call a veterinarian. It's possible that your kitten may be in grave danger! Please call a veterinary service, NOW!

I'm not very knowledgeable in animal medicine, but as far as human medicine goes, coughing up blood is a pretty bad sign... usually requires a trip to the ER.
