Shut off Valves leaking under kitchen sink.
Wondering if someone can help. The hot water shut off valve is leaking under my kitchen sink. All connections seem to be tight, and it leaks various ammounts depending on the angle of the turn valve.

Sounds like the packing around the stem is leaking. Try tightening the packing nut immediately below the handle.

Yes! It worked! "Frightfully simple?" It was so shockingly simple, I nearly ddn't try it. I already had all my tools, etc. laid out and planned on a trip to the plumbing supply store (and a lost morning).

    Thank you!
