    Hello JEFFBRITT

Please first more details on the old circuitry and the new motor.
    Like voltage and phase : 120, 220, 400, 1 phase + neutral, 2 phase, 3 phase without neutral.

You say that you know where black goes : where and why? What is it's function?
What are the differences between the old and the new motor? And why is that?
Do you have any information on either the old and/or the new motor?

Please let me know ! That info is important to advice you !

    :)

If it's a new motor the wiring instructions should be on the side of the motor, also it tells you you the exact capictor that should be bought to be used with the motor
