Replacing a 2 handle tap with a single
Hello all thanks for ready/helping with this problem.

I am replacing my old 2 handle taps with a new single one in my bath shower combo. The problem is that the instructions say to mount it flush with the shower side of the wall. There is no mounting tabs to screw the valve to the wall or a stud How is the valve held in place, or do the pipes (Shower/Faucet hold it there).

    It is a Danze Tub/ShowerFaucet

Thanks a lot for the help.

You need to access this valve from behind the wall by cutting an access panel in place so you can access pipes/stud, etc... OR you will need to purchase a remodeler's plate and cut out the front of the tub surround so that hole allows you to work on valve, but can also be covered by the plate... see picture below.

Moen makes a good remodeler's plate as does symmons... available at home depot.

An access panel from behind is always easiest!! A remodeler's plate will require a mini-tubing cutter and some good soldering skills to use this method.

Let me know if this is what you needed...
