I have a craftsman mower will turn over but not stat... cut grass on Friday then Saturday was going to finish, got gas new plug but won't start--any help would be great

Is the air filter clogged?

Air filter is good -- new gas and new spark plug..

I only say this because I did it once--Did you put the wire back on the plug?
Did you set the right gap on the plug?
Have you tried starting fluid? I use it all the time on two craftsman mowers because I have shoulder/arm problems. Hasn't hurt them yet. But they are a pain to get started sometimes. Other times, one pull.

Lol yes I checked plug and its getting fire--and I put the wire back on and I did use starting fluid and the only thing I get is a backfire every now and then
